The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan, alongside Bangladesh Railway, initiated this landmark feasibility study. As a specialized Traffic Survey Firm AIR Ltd company, we collaborated with Maxwell Stamp Ltd. to execute complex data collection frameworks. Our studies targeted the critical intersections and terminal zones surrounding the Kamalapur Railway Station.
Description Of Services
As a highly capable survey firm, research firm, and consultancy firm, Action for Innovative Resource Ltd. (AIR Ltd) successfully delivered the following services:
1. Questionnaire Localization & KoboToolbox Programming
First, our editorial team translated the entire technical questionnaire into Bangla for better respondent understanding. We then programmed the digitized data fields using KoboToolbox. To guarantee operational accuracy, our technical experts performed rigorous beta testing to eliminate logic errors before deploying the survey.
2. Strategic Field Planning & Staff Recruitment
Next, this consultancy firm developed a comprehensive field survey plan to structure the timeline and coverage zones. We carefully interviewed and hired the required number of qualified field personnel based on their communication proficiency. Consequently, AIR Ltd formed an agile team fully capable of managing complex transport data collection tasks.
3. Intensive Training & Advanced Logistics Operations
Subsequently, our research firm conducted intensive training sessions to familiarize the staff with data protocols and interview techniques. We also organized all necessary logistics, equipping our enumerators with tablets, power banks, video cameras, stationery, umbrellas, and official ID cards. Therefore, the team maintained seamless connectivity and operations throughout the field timeline.
4. Continuous 24-Hour Video-Based Traffic Counts
Afterward, our Hub Traffic Survey AIR team managed a continuous 24-hour vehicle count survey using high-definition video recording equipment. We captured traffic volumes across one strategic weekday and one full weekend. Specifically, the field operation spanned six major intersections surrounding the Kamalapur Railway Station, providing a robust baseline for transport modeling.
5. Passenger Volumetric Counts & Origin-Destination Surveys
Simultaneously, we executed a rigorous 20-hour passenger counting and face-to-face interview survey directly inside the Kamalapur Railway Station. Our enumerators interacted with thousands of commuters to determine their precise origins, final destinations, and specific trip purposes. As a result, we mapped out critical pedestrian flow dynamics and terminal utilization patterns.
6. Data Cleaning, Processing & Final Submission
Finally, our data processing division performed extensive cleaning and quality assurance using specialized validation software. We cross-checked vehicle classifications and passenger survey entries to completely eliminate duplicate entries or discrepancies. Ultimately, AIR Ltd compiled the verified datasets into a structured user-friendly database and successfully submitted all deliverables.
