Description Of Services

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Japan, alongside Oriental Consultants Global, initiated this landmark mass transit study. As a specialized Transit Preference Survey Firm AIR Ltd company, we collaborated with Maxwell Stamp Ltd. to execute advanced data collection frameworks. Our studies focused specifically on evaluating commuter willingness-to-pay and transit choices along the proposed Dhaka MRT Line 2 PPP Corridor.

  • Description Of Services

As a highly capable survey firm, research firm, and consultancy firm, AIR Ltd successfully executed the following project phases:

    1. Questionnaire Translation & KoboToolbox Configuration

First, our editorial team translated the technical survey questionnaire into Bangla to ensure cultural appropriateness. We then designed and configured the digitized data fields using KoboToolbox. To guarantee seamless field collection, our programming experts created a user-friendly digital layout optimized for real-time mobile entries.

    2. Survey Planning, Manuals & Quality Systems

Next, this consultancy firm developed a comprehensive field survey plan and structured training manuals. We simultaneously created rigorous data collection protocols, safety guidelines, and systematic error-checking frameworks. Consequently, AIR Ltd established a robust quality control system to maintain high data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

    3. Recruitment and Deployment of Field Personnel

Subsequently, our human resource division successfully identified, recruited, and deployed the required number of qualified field staff. Our selection process focused heavily on choosing enumerators with explicit experience in urban transport modeling. As a result, we formed an agile field team capable of implementing complex interview criteria effectively.

    4. Comprehensive Training and Field Pre-Testing

Afterward, our research firm conducted intensive training sessions followed by practical pre-testing of the survey instruments. These interactive simulations allowed us to test the digital questionnaires and refine our interviewing approach. Therefore, our field operators ensured strict adherence to project protocols before launching full-scale operations.

    5. Execution of Interview Surveys Along MRT Line 2 Corridor

Moving into active operations, our Transit Preference Survey AIR team conducted structured face-to-face interview surveys along the proposed MRT Line 2 corridor. Our enumerators carefully followed specific sampling matrices, including commuter income distribution and daily vehicle mode usage. Consequently, we captured a highly representative dataset reflecting the actual demographic preferences of Dhaka’s traveling public.

    6. Data Processing, Cleaning, and Final Submission

Finally, our data analytics division meticulously compiled, cleaned, and processed the collected field data using advanced statistical software. We cross-referenced all preference entries to eliminate anomalies and ensure total statistical reliability. Ultimately, AIR Ltd submitted the verified datasets alongside detailed analysis reports to support further feasibility studies.
